That Scholarship Question to the graduate chapter for their interest in
keeping Pi Gamma Chapter in its position
After some 31 years in the proverbial as the finest fraternity at U.B.G.
It is with a sigh of relief, therefore, that
we the undergradute chapter present the
first issrie of the new "BICIFIJI".
The "BICIFIJI" is being published pri

hull-pen, Pi Gamma has finally received
the nod to make its belated first appearance
in Cheney Gup competition. Our biggest
previous obstacle in this quest for the allround chapter in Fijiland was scholarship.
In particular, it was thought necessary to
find a means of correlating the different
marking systems used in Canada and the
U.S.
Current discussions centre around the
impending expansion to the chapter house.
The new extension, which will provide
quarters for seven new men and will
double the kitchen area, is being financed
by a mortgage from our headquarters in
Washington, D.G., and is being sparked
primarily by the remarkable energies of
brother Bill MacLailen.
Brothers Ron Andrews (B.C. '49), Ian
McAllister (B.C. '58), Graeme Balcom
(B.C. '57), Bill Bohbit (B.C. '61), and
Stew Smith (B.C. '60) met last August at
the H2th "Wilkinson" Ekklesia in Wash
ington, D.G. They joined our brothers
from 86 other chapters to help form the
fraternity's policies for the next biennium,
and, from all reports, had a wonderful
time. Many matters of vital importance to
us all were discussed and resolved, and a
fitting tribute was paid to Cecil J. "Scoop"
Wilkinson on the occasion of his retire
ment. Scoop, who is well known by all Fijis
for his untiring devotion to the fraternity
