HOMECOMMING
Homecomming is on October 17.
The house will be open after the
game v;ith John Carroll, with free
refresliments for everyone. Our
homecomming display should be
quite a sight to see.
Plan to stop
by to meet the Brothers and pledges.
Xi Deuteron was well repre

sixteenth Ekklesia,
Held in
Prench Lick, Ind,, the under

PALI RUSH
Pall rush, under the capable
direction of Rush Chairman Jan
Horbaly, was an unmitigated success.
The Pijis ran an open house during
the first night of mish, in addition
to informal open house from 2-5
each afternoon during the rush
period.
Other rush functions
included a Roast Beef Dinner, five
luncheons,, and two very swinging
parties (produced and directed by
Brother Tom Puette),
The house was in magnificent
shape after the pre-rush clean-up.
Our front yard actually had green
grass on it; this was quite a change
from the
cement steam tunnel which
we locked at all spring.
The back hall and s t a i r s have
been completely renovated, with wood
paneling on the walls and new tile
on the s t a i r s .
The front hall and
the kitchen were re-tiled also,
and the dormitory has a newly
rewired electrical system.
The
brothers V/illiaras(Al), Williams
(Clarance), Couch, Bond, and Davies
were a few, of the delegates from
the Cleveland graduate chapter.
One cannot fully appreciate
the dynamics of Phi Gamma Delta
without attending this assemblage.
Hundreds of Pijis from all over

\r\nTHE PRESIDENT'S
PAGE
Pill Gamma Delta at Western Reserve University has commenced
the year's activities with the pledging of eighteen fine men.
We believe we are in store for a very successful year, as chapter
spirit is running high in all areas.
This can be exemplified
most lucidly in the one facet of fraternity life which is at
times neglected- scholarship.
1 am happy to report that last
year Xi Deuteron posted a respectable upswing in the scholastic
curve.
Secondly, 1 would like to encourage all the alumni to
attend the Homecomming festivities this year.
The chapter will
hold an open house before and after the game on Oct. 17.
Attendance has fallen off somewhat over the last few years.
There is no reason why this should be the case,
Xi Deuteron
wholeheartedly welcomes the opportunity to meet graduate
brothers and their families.
We are proud of our Chapter;
we feel that the functions scheduled throughout the year for
graduates will inculcate and foster the ideals of brotherhood
which often are forgotten during the experience of graduate
association.
By making an appearance on Oct. 17, we believe you will
find the festivities rewarding.
You will renew friendships
lost over the years, and will acquaint yourself with the
undergraduate chapter.
Xi Deuteron is trying to make this
year's Homecomming memorable, but we can not achieve this goal
without your support.
Fraternally
