The legend of the Grill is probably as much a part of campus tradition as Ivy

Although it is difficult to think of the D. B. & G. as the place to study,
a recent article in "The Daily Nebraskan" indicates someone must at least
attempt it.
An ingenious "Rag" scribe took a penetrating look into campus

The reason for the small fund pro
vided by the house is obvious -- the
increasing cost of living in a fra

bill does not leave much for such
expenses. The way the Interfraterni-

the increasing competition from
other fraternities, necessitates our

MOM'S FIJI NOTES
by Mom Minier
Think our old fashioned "time" has
gone modern also and launched into
orbit; here we are into I960 with
another school year almost gone.
The Minier family should be glad
to bid '59 adieu--for as far as we're
concerned it's been a stinker.
Your
housemother gave it a good start last
January by arguing with a "little"
freight train; then Pat finishes it up
in October with a cerebral throm
bosis.
Not too much complaint
though.
I recovered in record time
and he's well over the hump.
The holidays were happy ones. The
house looked festive with a beautiful
big tree, Christmas greens on the
mantle and doors. On Saturday be
fore vacation we had the "Night Be
fore Christmas" party complete with
Santa, (a tall slim one replaced the
typical rotund gentleman) gifts,
dancing, gaily decorated cookies and
apple cider.
On the following Monday evening we
had our traditional Christmas turkey
arrival in February of an heir or

DR. CURT MERRICK has nothing
new to report except the addition of

The body of Houston's wife

•The couple left their two children

When
they didn't return she notified

It sighted an oil

Can't remember when we last heard
from DANNY WOLKENSDORFER,
but he finally came through with an
account of his wanderings, activities
and the family since '55.

In
October '56, he was designated a
Naval Aviator in Jacksonville,

Virgin Islands, South and Central
America, French Morocco, Africa,
the Azores and many of the European
countries.
During this time he was
assigned to an Anti-Submarine Patrol
Squadron.
He had the opportunity of
participating in the Jupiter Missile
