State Phi Gamma Delta LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT GRADUATE CORRESPONDANCE Things have been very busy around Our graduate program is going the Phi Gamm house for the past very well this semester thanks several weeks as mmny interesting events have occurred. Homecoming to the excellent work of chair weekend turned out very success from almost all graduates con-r ful as five graduates returned to watch the Mississippi State Bulldogs beat the Houston Cougars, then find out that the Fijis had won first place in the Homecopiing sign contest. Then not long after Homecoming the Phi Gamms entered cerning their correct address and we are now receiving graduate record froms each day in the mail. The file system has been started and is already aiding man Marty Allison. We have hear'"' the various chairman in their work. the Halloween Carnival and were well represented with a very cblorful and interesting display. But the big story of the semester has been football, as the Fijis We want to thank the quick re^ sponse of many of you and we have just finished their most possible. successful season ever and have from you. hope the rest of you will send i:t your graduate forms as soon as PLEASE let us hear been tied np with playoff games for the past two weeks. THE 50's PARTY Work is now centering araaund Songfest which will be held in the early part of December and the decoration of the house for Christmas holidays. The.chapter is also starting to work on rush for next semester in hopes of having another good spring rush. This year the semester will end before the Christmas holidays, so I hope that several of you can make it by for a visit be fore we all leave for the holi day vacation". Greg Mann President BULLDOG FIJI Sigma Mu is having its second big party of the semester this weekend at the VIW Hut on old West Point Road. It is another 50's party like the one held last spring. Cool Jet and the Teen Angels will play and the event promises to be alot of fun. We hope that all graduates and local Fijis can attend all of ou^parties and join in the fun. WHO'S WHO Three members of Sigma Mu Chaptex recently joined the ranks of Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. They are: Franklin Myers, a senior maj oring in Industrial Engineering? Jerry Welch, a senior majoring in Chemical Engineering; and Keith Koenig, a senior majoring in Aerospace Engineering. This semester's issue of the Bulldog Fiji woll be out at the PIG DINNER first of December and will fea ture special articles on last spring's Pig Dinner, Graduate news and events, and this sem ester's football team. A new colony was established at Florence State University in I'lorence, Alabama several weeks ago and many of.the brothers traveled to that University for a full night of hard rushing for the young colony. The colony now has 25 outstanding men and is off to a great start. Many people Several brothers of Sigma chapter were married this 2a\st summer. They are Ron Campbell, Tommy Boyd, David Morrison, Aubrey Earnheart, and Ed Bean. Married just a few weeks was brother Marty Allison. The event was very successful and brought many of the varcbuus chapters of different fraternities closer to-- gether. This weekend many of the brothers will travel to Memphis State to watch the installation cei-mony of Phi Gamma Delta's 101'st chapter. Two of the brothers will be in the ceremony ajid several will come up to Memphis Saturday morning.
