Dear Brothers,
I'm taking this opportunity to update you as to the recent
developments at the house and to encourage everyone to attend
Homecoming.
At this time the Chapter and F.A. Morse are in excellent shape
financially.
Although the mortgage is now held by WPI, our
relations with the school are of course excellent and we remain
current with payments.
Our cash reserve is sufficient to pay off
the outstanding balance if i t became necessary.
The undergraduate chapter is a highly motivated group and they
have a vigor and enthusiasm for the House that is quite
refreshing.
They are working quite hard to hold the physical
plant together while the Alumni work to develop the restoration
effort and Capital Funds Drive.
Speaking of the Fund Drive, Fund Consultants of Providence, Rhode
Island has been retained to develop the initial Feasibility
Study.
This effort shall involve a refinement of the capital
needs and a full assessment of the financial potential of the
graduate body.
An interior report shall be given at the F.A.
Morse meeting at Homecoming.
I wholeheartedly encourage you to attend Homecoming.
Last year
was a great success despite weather that turned bad.
Early
returns indicate that there will be outstanding turnout, so you
don't want to miss i t .
Also, as noted above, we shall have an
open F.A. Morse meeting at 5:00 pm (Saturday afternoon) to update
everyone on the Fund Drive.
I
look forward to seeing everyone.

Dear Brother Fijis,
The renovations to the house that the Brothers accomplished over "C" term break
look great.
I am very proud of the job that was done.
We all know that "99"
is the greatest.
For your information, I felt it important that you know what costs were covered
by the work done by us.
Materials, including wiring for the fixtures, the fixtures, the lamps, and
wiring and controls for the cooler system, amounted to
$2,259.00.
59 1/2 manhours of labor were consumed, amounting to ....... $2,320.00.
Equipment rentals including a saw for $37.95 and a nailer
for $565.43 brought the total to almost
