RUSH IN HIGH GEAR AT ZETA
This year's rush program is in high
gear as chairmen Paul Mooney and Ron
Remak are busily making plans for the
spring semester. As in past years, the
rush committee plans to extend invita
tions to many, many outstanding high
school seniors and college freshmen.
Each wll be invited to Beechwood for
one of the 3 rush weekends: March 11-
12, April 2-3, April 23-24.
Brothers from Zeta are instrumental
in the preparation and execution of
these weekends. One fine example of
this cooperation is shown in the enter
volve around the Little 500 qualifica
tion and Little 500 Regatta, both of
which Zeta chapter has excelled in dur
ing the past several years.
Most of our rush recommendations
come from undergraduates, but Zeta
hopes to receive word of many out
standing prospects from graduate
brothers. As the saying goes, "Every
little bit helps", and in this case it
couldn't be more appropriate. Each man
that you recommend could contribute
greatly to Phi Gamma Delta. If you know
of any young men whom you consider to
tainment of the weekends. Brothers

looks on.
This Week's Fijis in the News ...
Three years ago a tradition was
started that has brought campus renown
to Zeta. Originally started by brothers
Whit Grayson and Charles Sursa; then
followed by Rick Richards and Jim
Troutman the emcees for I.U. Sing have
come from Beechwood. This year the
job was superbly handled by brothers
Jon Fogle and, returning again. Rick
Richards.
Brothers Fogle and Richards are re
sponsible for the comedy portion of the
emcee assignment. They are assisted by
two singing emcees. Their job requires
hours of work developing, creating and
refining their comedy routines. When
showtime comes they are responsible
for introducing the acts as well as enter
taining the audience while the acts get
on and off stage.
With Rick's experience and Jon's en
thusiasm the sketches were brilliantly
carried off. Helping to make this year's
I.U. Sing a success along with Rick and
Jon were the Fiji members of the I.U.
Sing Steering Committee, dominated by
Fiji's for several years now. This year
serving on the committee were brothers
Whit Grayson, Keith Miller, Kevin Green,
and Woody Wade.
With these leaders and Sponge and
Fleegle the show was a tremendous
success!
