diving Lux, the Little Giant fans rushed the field to
celebrate the long-awaited Wabash victory over the
Dannies. ...
It was truly one of the greatest games in Little Giant
soccer history-and, for that matter, all of Wabash sport's
history. The Little Giants weren't supposed to win, or even
be in the game for that matter. It was a David and Goliath
matchup. And the underrated, overmatched David
prevailed. The DPU soccer Giants fell victim to
Schroeder's slingshot. ...
It is Schroeder's header that Little Giant fans will
remember for years to come. It was the senior captain's
first goal of the season, and it couldn't have come at a
better time. As the stunned DePauw squad walked off the
field, Wabash men celebrated and the team piled on
Schroeder. The emotion of the game had culminated in that
final minute when Schroeder's header reached the net.

Of course we're
continuing the great tradition of movie night every
Wednesday night. This is a great time for brothers and
pledges alike to sit down and just relax. We are also in the
process of organizing some pool, ping-pong, and euchre
tournaments. These tournaments will consist of pledge
father-son teams competing against each other. And
finally, we are about to put up our second installment of
the ever popular Qol quotes which allow us to poke fun of
everybody in the house.

the states. With the success of the Eagles (United States'
rugby team) and the rise in collegiate participation—rugby
has recently exploded around the states and in Indiana.
Wabash College has had a rugby team for nearly 8 years,
though participation was usually sparse. This changed
with the success of last year's fall and spring squads
consequently propelling the Rugby squad to a preseason
rank of 3rd in the state of Indiana. Integral to the success
of the team were several FIJI'S, specifically Jake Heffernan,
Luke Lindsell, Ian Campbell, Evan West, and Jon Dilley.
Jake, Luke, and Ian were all starters on last years team that
took 2nd in the Wabash tournament and upset Ball State in
a close match late in the spring. Presently, Luke Lindsell
and Ian Campbell are the only Fill's on this fall's roster
though Jake Heffernan will join in the spring following the
Wabash Little Giant football season. So far, the fall
season has gone well for the Wabash Rugby team and with
more good play they should have a good chance of making
the Midwest Tournament as the Division II bid. If the team
should make it to this tournament, they would be
competing for a slot into the national tournament. With the
help of the FIJI contingency, the Wabash Rugby team
should accomplish this goal and maintain its winning
tradition.

I think that I am speaking for all of my pledge
brothers when I say that the night that I was extended a bid
to join the fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta is a night I will
not forget. My mind was filled with thoughts about
spending the next four years creating bonds and friendships
that would last forever. Every one of us came to the house

come to an understanding that we are not little kids
anymore. There are things that are expected of us and
responsibilities that are placed on our shoulders. So it is in
our best interest to strive and succeed in every aspect of
pledgeship. And in my opinion, there is no better way to
