Many Exciting Things are Happening
The undergraduate brothers at Zeta
are very excited about the new school
year, which brings many new and ex
citing things to Beechwood. The most
important point of the star at Zeta is
scholarship; to convey this to the
university, we are planning a scholar
ship dinner. Brothers are inviting one
member ofthe Indiana University staff
to dinner at the house in an attempt to
promote good relations with the
university.
Intramurals have always been a
strong point, and this year will be no
exception. The season will be kicked
off soon with softball and tennis;
team tryouts and practice have al
ready begun for both sports. The

Brotherhood has started off very
well for the semester. A newly created
Executive Committee has gotten more
nis in the past and this year should be
no exception.
Last year, one of our softball teams
brought home a campus champion
ship, and with none of the players
graduating, this will make for four
very competitive softball teams. We
plan on improving upon our second
place overall finish last year with a
good start in these two sports. The
brothers are very confident and ex
brothers involved in house activities.
The Executive Committee consists of
cited about bringing the trophy back
one member from each committee in
the house who meets weekly with the
chapter officers. A food review com
mittee has also been created, which
has brought better meals to the chapter
house and better attendance by the
brotherhood at all meals.
The brothers at Zeta are looking
forward to producing another Cheney
Cup caliber year.

Impressive Academic News
The 2002-03 school year yielded an
all-men's undergraduate average of
impressive academic performance by
2.9770. Zeta brothers have also taken
the men of Phi Gamma Delta. The
brothers ofBeechwood set the standard
for all other Greek men at Indiana Uni

cepted the challenge and reached yet
another level ofacademic success. Sev

past semester and they should be rec

Headquarters in Lexington as well as
by generous graduate brothers. The
brothers at Zeta are very appreciative
of the scholarship fund and have
clearly utilized its value. This added
incentive helps to place Zeta at the top
and will continue to motivate brothers
for semesters to come.
Our scholastic achievement exem
plifies the excellence that has been
established over many years at
Beechwood and is still expected for
all brothers. In the fall semester, we

In the future, Zeta will strive to
maintain the dedication necessary in
