Gamma Tau started the school
year off right — with another suc
cessful Rush. Thanks to the fine job
"Brother Bill Smith did as Rush
Chairman, the chapter acquired 24
fine pledges.
Right from the start in mid sum
mer, Rush was handled smoothly and
o
efficiently. A month ahead of time,
the annual Rush newsletter was sent
out personally to hundreds of incom
ing freshmen. Our House Manager,
Brad Tilton, worked hard with the
help of the brothers in painting,
polishing, cleaning, and working in
at the dinner. One of our new pledges,
Mark J. Garlen
Daniel Venable, is the kid brother of

The President's
Message
At Gamma Tau, we're glad to be back on campus for
fall quarter. Though the Jackets may not provide a lot of
the FIJI Academy at Indiana University. We had a great
time and came back with a lot of enthusiasm. We also
received an honorable mention in the Brightman Trophy
excitement, the spirit is always high for the traditional
for good Graduate relations. We are proud of the award
rivalries and Homecoming. We hope to see many of you
on Saturday or whenever possible.
Our strong campus showing Spring Quarter provided
that added stimulus for our strong Fall Rush. We
pledged 24 good men who are proud to wear the FIJI star.
Now, we're working hard to make them "Purple" as we
look to another strong quarter.
Last summer, four Gamma Tau delegates attended
and only hope our efforts continue to promote good rela

Once again, I hope you get a chance to come back for a
visit this quarter. Remember, home game buffets will be
awaiting you.
Fraternally,
Rick Robbins
