We are very happy with the
Idaho campus. Between the close
of the 1985-86 school year and
the opening of the 1986-87 school
year, Mu lota's living room and
dining room underwent a much
needed renovation.
We are pleased with the reno
vations that Mu Iota has under
taken and would like to offer our
thanks to the Brothers who made
these repairs and changes possi
ble.. Without the support and con
tributions of our graduated mem
bership and the devotion of our
strong Housing Corporation, this
facelift would not have been
possible.
Feel free to stop by and take a
look when you are in the area.
We would be pleased to show you
our pride in Phi Gamma Delta.
Our new look includes many
new touches, involving carpeting,
drapes, painting, furniture and
accessories.
In the living room, we are en
joying new carpeting and drapes.
A fresh coat of paint brightens the
room, and we are happy to have
new coffee tables, lamps and
plants in the room. Furniture was
recovered and looks much better
now. We are thrilled to have new
dining room chairs, and our din
ing room was also recarpeted and
repainted.
In our TV room and J.S.
Lounge, the subflooring was torn
up, replaced and covered with
linoleum. Double-paned windows
were also added. New runners
were placed on the stairs right in
side the Elm Street entrance as
well.
This new look is the product of
much time and hard work from
the A.K.E., and special thanks go
out to Bob Melgard for his
dedication in making the interior
of the Mu Iota house look its best.
We are pleased to report that
the renovation project is not quite
over. We are finishing construc
tion on our new roof, which was
begun earlier in the fall, and the
RENOVATIONS: We are enjoying the new look of Mu Iota.
Brown Jug Livens Homecoming
Homecoming was a huge success with eight Fijis on the Homecom
ing committee helping to create an action-packed weekend for students
and graduate Brothers.
At 600 University, more than 100 guests gathered after the parade
for a fine brunch. The remodeling in the living room and dining area
pleasantly surprised our graduate Brothers and parents. The victory
party after the Idaho-Cal State-Fullerton game was held in the Fiji
rec room and inspired many fond memories from our graduated Phi
Gams about "how it was in the good old days" of the '60s.
This year's Brown Jug football game pitted our freshmen against
the Kappa Sigma freshmen. (Hardly a match for us!) Our 25 new
recruits scored 21 points and held the Kappa Sigs at zero.
The jug now resides in the glass cabinet of the Fiji house.
