Dear Brothers;

Some of these contain information

This year (1994) has been very successful for Sigma Nu. We began our
year with an alcohol awareness presentation with Kappa Alpha Theta in
front of a large chapter turn out.
We have increased our campus participation by getting involved in
many fund-raisers, such as AXO's Frisbee Fling, Delta Gamma's Anchor
Splash(winning both), and AEPhi's spaghetti dinner. We also teamed up
with Theta again to spend a day with underprivileged children from the
Vincent House. We even helped the kids of a daycare center celebrate

Field Secretary Lance Stenzel. The cabinet has also benefited from attend

this year with a bang and start next year even stronger!
I personally feel that our chapter tone promises great things for Sigma
Nu and I kiiow that others feel this way as well as we were awarded
"Most Improved Chapter" at the Creek Awards ceremony.

At least we were alive and 'solvent' to August 1991.1 sure would like to
hear from or about any or all of them and find out what they feel about a
'reunion' of the 'thirties'. I'm in close touch with my best friend and
former room-mate,Fran Jeffee '34, and his lovely wife Jean '34, and visit
them frequently. Also corresponded with 'Ribs' Baysinger recently. See
Dick Beyer at all the western New York Syracuse Alumni Association

chapter. Increased numbers and
better graduate relations were two
areas of special concern. They cited

■ Ed Ralston,'52,is with Moore Business Forms and was recently
promoted to Vice President of the southeastern area. Been with Moore
for 38 years. Moving to southeast headquarters in Atlanta.
■ Jim Barket,'59, tells us that he has two grandchildren (Alex and
Christopher). Jim is general sales manager of WFMT(Chicago). He has
been elected president for 1993-94 of Rotary in Chicago.
■ Dan Carroll,'66, says,"T have been involved for the past 2 years with
the Adelphi University chapter, which received its charter this past fall
(1992). It's the first FIJI chapter on Long Island and hopefully will pro
vide a mechanism for organizing a FIJI alumni movement on Long Island
where there are well over 1,000 alumni."
■ George Criticos,'64,(owner Crossroads Restaurant, Rochester, NY)is
proud of his daughter Pamela who graduated from Miami(Ohio)last
May (1993), while daughter Suzi is completing her 3rd year at University
of Dayton (Ohio). The "Greek" saw brother Thomas Rennie,'65, and he
looks great after losing 40 lbs with another 40 to go! How BIG was he?
Over 300 lbs! Great going, Tom.

■ Charlie Gray,'63,is still financial advisor to the Sigma Nu chapter. If
you are counting, that is over 30 years. He tells us he had a heart valve
replaced in July 1993. His heart now beats with a "click!" Doctor tells him
there is nothing wrong as long as he can hear the "click!"

Over the last six months,the
chapter has responded by attempt
ing to focus on these areas. On top
of instituting the position of vice
president to aid with internal
affairs and creating a brotherhood
committee to organize events
exclusively for the brothers, the
chapter has pinned 12 young men
during spring 1995 rush (one of
the largest and strongest pledge
classes on campus). These achieve
ments have added to a strong
sense of enthusiasm and purpose
already present in the brother
hood.
As the graduate relations chair,
I took to heart Mr. Calagiovanni
and Mr. Gray's urging to improve
alumni relations. The chapter has
noticeably suffered from the lack
of alumni guidance in the last few
years. Specifically,I wanted to see
a return to the tradition of publish
ing the Orange FIJI each semester
and to organize a Pig Dinner to
rival those held in the past. The
chapters has been working dili
gently to achieve both of these
goals.
On behalf of the chapter,I
invite you to renew your ties with
Sigma Nu by coming to the Pig
