The Power of Two Percent
Since the founding of the American
college fraternity movement in 1776,
fraternities have grown to symbolize
leadership, independence, scholastic
achievement and service to their vari
ous campuses and communities.
Fraternity men represent a very
small percentage, only two percent, of
the male population in the United
States.
However, that two percent is a very
powerful group of individuals! Frater
nity men have gone on to hold many
of the top positions in our nation, from

Are You Coming to Monon Bell?
Much ballyhoo is heard from cam
puses coast to coast with the annual
arrival of the fall term, and DePauw
University is certainly not to be an
exception in this case.
Graduates and collegians alike
offer tremendous support to our
fraternity, and everyone enjoys the
opportunity to gather presented by the
Monon Bell game.
This year, Monon Bell takes place
on November 16 at Wabash, when
the DePauw Tigers take on the Little
Giants of Wabash.
We hope that each of you will make
an effort to be on hand, offering your
support as our "old gold and black"
wave makes its way toward the end
zone (repeatedly!).
We also hope that you will take
advantage of the opportunity pre
sented by this annual game. Take a
moment to call a brother whom you
haven't spoken with in some
time...and make plans to meet for this
last football game of the season.
If you need information or any help
getting in touch with a former class
mate, please feel free to contact us via
the chapter address: 916 S. College
Ave., Greencastle, IN 46135.
Monon Bell need not be the only
time you set aside to get together with
brothers. Whenever the Tigers take on
a gridiron rival, you can rest assured
that excitement is hanging heavily in
the air.
