Lambda Chapter's positive momentum
continues to build. A new cabinet has taken

in substantial need of a renewed infrastructure.
We can proudly report to alumni that Lambda
is truly one of the strongest houses on campus.
We take pride in stating that the chapter truly
deserves the support of our Graduate Brothers.
Momeittwn continues through changes ...
Lambda's outgoing cabinet led the chap
ter—with enthusiastic support from the mem
bers—to continue its outstanding scholarship
(boasting a 3.22 CPA this past spring semester)
and its campus leadership in publications, stu
dent organizations, sustainability issues, and
both Greek and university relations. New lev
els of accomplishment included an innovation
in the chapter's approach to philanthropy.
and continues as a HC member.
Peter Fellegy, an undergraduate's parent
who initiated in '05 and is a new EC member,
coordinated the complete restoration of the 45year old second-floor bathrooms, a nearly
$100,000 investment that was sorely needed
and which will soon need to be replicated on
the third floor. In the near future, the HC will
more fully describe further restoration and
improvement projects that will preserve the
long-term viability of Lambda's chapter house.
Eric Wolfe '04, our Purple Legionnaire,
recently accepted employment as a Greek life
coordinator at DePauw—a compliment to
Lambda's capability to provide talented
resources to the university—^which required his
resignation as Purple Legionnaire. We eagerly
look forward to his replacement and thank Eric
for his ser\'ice to Lambda.
... and has returned to a leading position
among DePauw Greek chapters.
EIJI really is one of the very best houses on
campus—^as agreed by many faculty and staff.
Scholarship rank has remained within the top
three living units for nine straight semesters.
Diversity of members includes numerous inter
national students and academic majors. Cost
effectiveness has permitted house bills to
remain equal to university housing levels.
Sustainability is a leading issue on campus due
to Lambda's undergraduates' leadership.
Graduate Brothers, Lambda truly deserves
your enthusiastic support!

Soccer Appreciation
and Activity
It seems that soccer fever has migrated
from South Africa to Lambda FIJI. This is
not to say that every brother has become a
hooligan or that one constantly hears
vuvuzelas blaring through the halls, but there
is definitely increased excitement about the
sport. Some brothers, such as Matthew
Hellman '13 and Kyle Gough '13, just
recently discovered an interest in "the beau
tiful game," as it's almost unanimously
referred to around the world. "I got really
into soccer during the World Cup last summet, but I find it hard to stay interested when
the games aren't on a national level," says
Hellman, expressing a common problem for
those not following domestic premier soccer
leagues. Other brothers, including Ashwin

Athletes Compete Around the Country
Our FIJIs have been successful both in the
classroom and in their athletic pursuits. Plenty of
brothers get excited each week to play racquetball, basketball, soccer, and football together.
With our decisive Little 5 victory a few years
ago, interest in cycling has exploded in the house
and spurred many brothers ro strap on a helmet
and some shoes to explore Greencastle, Fillmore,
Fleritage Lake, Cloverdale, and other nearby
places. Despite sending Cameron Gindap '10

that prevented DaGd Good '10, Noe Flores '11,
