Greetings Brothers!
It’s been a while since the last Webfoot Fiji, but the EO Trustees are still around to
report some news.
First, the bad news is that we have no active chapter or current colonization efforts at
the Eugene campus.
However, there is good news:
1.
Our Eugene house is still standing at 791 E.15th (and Alder) in reasonably good
condition. It is leased (triple net) to a responsible organization that is subleasing
to students and student organizations.
2.
The EO Association has money in the bank (in June $29,817) and receives
$2,689 monthly before minor expenses from the lease.
3.
All obligations have been paid, including the mortgage to the National Fraternity
which has granted us a written full release of all obligations previously owed.
4.
Executive Director Bill Martin (Mississippi State 1975) of our National Fraternity
has registered a serious future interest in re-colonizing Fiji at UO. Several
national fraternities have recently successfully returned to campus. Martin has
requested comment from the trustees and interested alumni. If you wish to
comment, contact Tom Lekas at 7225 SW Hunt Club Lane, Portland, OR, 97223,
phone 503-244-0478, e-mail tjlekas@msn.com or e-mail John Gram at
jorsgram@yahoo.com.
5.
Finally, accompanying these comments on the back page is advance notice of a
Portland EO Norris Pig Dinner at the Stock Pot on Tuesday October 11, 2011.

Need for more EO Association Trustees
To be most effective, the current EO Association Trustees (Paul Smith (1949),
John Gram (1952), Carl Burnham (1984), Tom Lekas (1953), Richard Atiyeh (1945)
and Advisors Victor Atiyeh (1945) and John Thomas (1966)) should be expanded by
3 to 5 graduates. There are few yearly meetings and any needed business is
often conducted by mail or phone. Please volunteer by contacting EO
Association President Tom Lekas at 7225 SW Hunt Club Lane, Portland, OR, 97223,
by phone 503-244-0478, or e-mail tjlekas@msn.com.
