\r\nMessage from the President
Dear Graduate Brothers, Parents and Potential New
Members,
My name is David Friedman and I am in my first term
here as the Phi Deuteron Chapter President.
The Spring 2013 Semester is off to a great start, and the
undergraduate chapter is continuing our great successes
from previous semesters.
A few highlights from the beginning of the semester:
We are proud to announce that twenty-three young men
have signed their bids and have begun Phi Deuteron’s
New Member Process, embarking on what will be the
most influential decision of their lives.
The Phi Deuteron Chapter had a cumulative GPA of 3.20
(108 brothers combined) for the Fall 2012 Semester
ranking us 4th Overall for Fraternities, and also above the
All-Men’s and All-Fraternity Averages.
th
34 Annual Frank Norris Pig
Dinner
On Saturday April 27th, we will be
hosting the 34th annual Pig Dinner. The
event will begin with a cocktail hour
starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Riggs Alumni
Center located on campus. For those
interested, there are foursomes available
for grads to play golf together or with
undergrads before the event begins. The
golf will be played at the UMD golf
course and is located directly across
route-193 from the Riggs Alumni Center.
If your are interested in playing golf, or
have any questions or concerns about
the event feel free to free to contact
Corresponding Secretary Joe Rockland
at j.m.rockland@gmail.com.
With Pig Dinner set for Saturday April 27th, I hope that
many of you plan to return to meet-up with old friends and
meet the 129 active brothers FIJI now has at Maryland.
Remember that Phi Gamma Delta is not for college days
alone and all of your support is greatly appreciated. Thank
you to everyone for all that you do help the chapter.
I look forward to seeing you all. Please feel free to reach
out to me at dfried58@gmail.com if you have any
questions about the chapter.
Fraternally,
David J. Friedman
President
