President's Message
Dear freshmen,
The first goal of all those who come to Knox is a quality edu-
cation. However, there is more to a college education than
what one normally thinks. The emphasis of Phi Gamma Delta is
on outstanding achievement in the classroom and within the fra-
ternity experience as well.
Phi Gamma Delta also encourages its members to become active
participants in campus intramurals and other extracurricular
activities at Knox: athletics, The Gale, The Knox Student,
ROTC, Union Board, the choir, and many others. We also pride
ourselves on our growing role of responsibility in community
affairs including work with a local orphanage, UNICEF, and the
Boy Scouts.
Within the next few days you will have to make a decision as
to whether the fraternity system at Knox is suited to you.
This is not a decision to be made lightly. Phi Gamma Delta at
Knox has much to offer and we hope you will give us a look.
Our fraternity is not merely a place to sleep, study, relax,
and party, but rather a living and learning experience and an
investment in your future. It is a place to make friendships
and develop a mutual respect from these relationships. We wish
you the best of luck in your four years at Knox and hope that
you will take advantage of what we have to offer.
