The Lambda Nu chapter at the University of Nebraska chartered on October 18, 1898. The chapter’s founders were: Floyd Van Valin, Edward R. Harvey, George N Porter, Arthur C Pancoast, and William B Hunter. The chapter is located in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Lambda Nu is one of a few Phi Gamma Delta chapters that merged with another organization. In 1936, Lambda Nu purchased the Epsilon chapter of Delta Sigma Lambda property at 1425 R Street in Lincoln. At that time, Delta Sigma Lambda allowed its members to be ‘released’ from their organization if they wished to join Phi Gamma Delta. The chapter house was expanded in 1965 and extensively remodeled in 2011.
Lambda Nu ceased operation in August 2021.
