MOTHERS' DAY
Theta Deuteron of Phi Gamma Delta entertained mothers of members of the chapter at
the annual Mothers' Day exercises here Sunday, May 13th. Ideal weather served to make a
nice contrast with the heavy rain which tended to mar somewhat Mothers' Day last spring.
Pews at the William Street Methodist Episcopal church were reserved for members of the
chapter and their mothers. Following the church service, a dinner was served at Fairbanks
Lodge to the visitors.
During the afternoon musical selections were given by Brother Worth Kramer. The
visiting mothers were taken on a tour of the Lodge and were shown the new trophies added
by the chapter this year in various branches of activity.
Thirteen mothers were present at the chapter, a number decidedly smaller than the 23
who visited the Lodge last spring. The following were present: Mrs. C. S. Atkinson,
Cambridge; Mrs. O. J. Linville, Columbus; Mrs. Fred Learey, Findlay; Mrs. C. L. Merwin,
East Palestine; Mrs. C. E. Kramer, Findlay; Mrs. Z. B. Houghton, Marion; Mrs. C. D. Harley,
Ashtabula; Mrs. L. L. Smart, Marion; Mrs. J. P. Salter, Delaware; Mrs. E. C. Dix, Wooster;
Mrs. C. E. Marcy, Conneaut; Mrs. J. W. Jacoby, Marion, and Mrs. E. 1. Dorman, Conneaut.
