the University is providing a fireworks display in the open area just
north of Rockefeller Chapel at 53th and Woodlawn. These displays are
magnificent with skyrockets exploding in brilliant color many times high
er than the top of the Chapel.

ONDBRGRADUATE NEWS
THE PRESIDENT'S LETTER;
Brothers,
The hard work of my piredeoessor in office, Lon Pulse, and his msh chairman, John
Hallstrcan, in leading the Chapter to the largest pledge class on campus, allows me
to look foiward to the next year with high hopes for increased excellence in all
phases of fraternity activity. For the first time in several years we will be ex
periencing an increase in total membership despite the loss of our graduating seniors.
This increase, in addition to offering extended friendships and interests within the
house, will broaden the financial base of the chapter and allow us to offer improved
activities both to our undergraduate members and to you, the graduates. During the
past year the Chapter has been somewhat inward-looking, but I believe this intro
spection has produced a new strength which will be revealed in in^roved graduateundergraduate relations and greater fraternity in the Chapter itself.
PERGEJ
Fraternally,
William C. Petryk, Cfnpter President
On May 3 the Chapter initiated eleven new Brothers. They are: Carl F. Bbbkoaki,
Barrington, Illinois; Douglas Carden. Denver, Colorado; Michael Dotsey. Fireeh
