"MOM'S CHRISTMAS WISH!"
Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas
If it weren't for those we love.
If we didn't stop to tell our thoughts
To the ones we're thinking of.
This Christmas message, my Fiji Sons,
With its wishes fond and true
Will tell how dearly you are loved
Today and all year through.
Affectionately,
Mae Renard Minier

Christmas Feast
pjiMJudsml..
With the biggest and best of all holi
days upon us, it gives me a lot of satis
faction to sit down and offer the most
cordial and fraternal best wishes from
us
(the
undergrads)
to
you
(the
alumni).
Christmas should be a time when we
glance away for a moment from the
material things and pay our respects
to the good provider for our gifts of
fraternal spirit and fellowship. It's a
great feeling at this time to be able to
get away from the ensnarled race of
life for a little while and wish our fellow
men a good day, as we should through
out the year.
We are going to give contributions
to some Welfare Organization to help
needy indiyiduals at Christmas time.
The help will then be through practical
gifts rather than to have a party which
would likely make the children feel that
perhaps their life is much too dull and
drab after visiting our beautiful house
for a few short hours.
Once again, a Merry Christmas and
Happy New Year from the boys at

Hawaii To Miami

Staying at the fabulous

Waikiki Beach, swimming and surf
board riding took up much of the time
after the Huskers mauled Hawaii, 50-0.
Parties were plentiful and all Ha
waiian trimmings were prepared for in
native custom.
The team and travel
ing party of 54 were served everything
from a Hawaiian dish called "poi" to a
roasted pig.
Hula dancers, with scanty type dress,
were abundant on the island and were a
fixture for the arrival and departure
of the plane.
Lt. Don Larson, Lambda Nu president
in 1951, was stationed on the island
and the traveling Fijis spent some happy
and fraternal moments with the ex-Fiji
president.
Larson is stationed at Scho-
field Barracks and would enjoy to hear
from some of his "old troops."
The team explored Honolulu and the
surrounding area on their own, spend
ing much of the time in the Pacific
and hotel pool.
