The 112iii Wilkinson Ekklesia lived up
to its great expectations in entliusiasni
and interest this past August in Washing

problems across town in the Senate cham

ingro.ssecl in business at the Shoreham
Hotel's west ballroom. For the record, an
increase of $6 in the initiation lee, $3 in
the undergraduate membership clues, and
$2 in the graduate clues, was voted in, 01
course, all other issues were anti-climatic
in view of the tremendous interest sur
rounding t h e membership selectivity
clause. Our Michigan delegation fully
supported an amendment to the Consti
tution, proposed by Ohio State, which
woidd have made each chapter the sole
judge of memi)ership cpialifications. We
felt that this action was necessary as a
protective measure for our chapters who
will soon be, if they are not presently,
plagued by prctssure groups on their respectice campuses. This proposal, how
ever, failed to achieve even a majority,
