NORRIS PIG DINNER 1971 —
... BIGGEST SUCCESS
The year 1971 was a very big year
for the Sigma Omicron Norris Pig Din
ner. It was marked by the reunion of
many Brothers, a very enjoyable ban
quet, and a great party.
The Lincoln Plaza Inn in Oklahoma
City provided an excellent atmosphere
for the Brothers to renew their ties in
Phi Gamma Delta. Approximately 100
Brothers attended the dinner.

dress. Guest speaker was Mr. William
C. Douce, Senior Vice President of
Phillips Petroleum Company of Bartlesville. Other guests seated at the

class was Jim Keating, younger broth

Gordon Elkins Award which is given
each year to the outstanding senior
for "service with unsought reward.'
The chapter named as the recipients

to receive the Bob Mathias Outstand
ing Athlete Award was Gene Kouba.
In the scholarship division, Bill Douce
received the Mike Monroney Award

Returning Brothers ma\' see some new additions to the Chapter House.
Thanks to the Dad's Club we have recently paneled and painted the foyer and
are making plans to put in new wall paper in the entrance.
A look at the backyard will re\ eal a new patio, soon to be eepiipped with
barbecpic pit and a backetball goal. Mr. Pary Shofner donated a day of his time
to help lay the concrete. A special feature of the patio is a black diamond with a
marble star in the center.
We are eagerh' looking forward to many houi's of brotherhood with our
new yard facilities.
