PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Brothers of Pi Sigma Chapter:
we can give Jack our support by taking an active interest in
both the graduate and undergraduate programs. Secondly,
1966 was a landmark year for Pitt Fiji's. Under the capable
financial responsibility must be established in the under
administration of Past President Ed McCrady and a active
graduate chapter, particularly because of the tight cash flow
Board of Trustees, the long - discussed Chapter House reno
vation was finally realized. These improvements, as shown
new second and third floors, a new kitchen, and a refinished
situation resulting from the renovation. Spearheading this
valiant effort will be our fine and loyal FIJI, John Sheppard.
The third and most immediately rewarding goal is to provide
the undergraduate chapter with all the support possible in
first floor. We feel this worthwhile investment has created
their pursuit of the Condon Cup Award. As many of you know,
in the last issue of the Panther FiJi, included a completely
one of the finest facilities on the Pitt Campus and has given
some time ago the Undergraduate Chapter fell into disfavor
the undergraduates a big morale boost. Already they have
used this asset to develop the largest membership and high
with the National Fraternity because of academics and spirit.
Since that time, however, the fellows have put forth a superb
effort and currently are one of the outstanding contenders in
the competition for greatest chapter improvement, represented
est occupancy seen at PiSigma.
In the current year, we hope to continue this pace-setting
by the Condon Cup. Achievement of this goal would be a big
progress and accomplish three vital goals. Primarily, the
enthusiasm which has launched Pi Sigma on its climb must
step in making Pi Sigma a leader not only at Pitt, but in the
entire fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta. Have you been near

hopes to achieve this year. Each of our graduates can be of
great help by a small contribution, but even more, we would
really like to see as many of you as possible stop at the
house, come to a Tuesday Luncheon at Kaufmann's, or join
in some of the activities Brother Holloway will stir up —
we think you might get a kick out of seeing the old gang, too.

GRADUATE DUES

For quite afewyears, the Board of Trustees of this fraternity
has been working very hard to attempt to keep this name,
Fiji, alive at the Pitt Campus. We have lived through quite
a few lean years. We have struggled through many obstacles
and road blocks. We are now at the crossroads of a very
bright future. We are at the crossroads and we need help to
insure that we can stay on the right road, which leads to
success. We have our newly-renovated house in order. We

If you have forgotten to pay 1966 dues please!
Now, what we are lacking most is a good Alumni Group to
carry on our long-range programs. We have had to take
rather sizable mortgage obligations in order to pay for the

elect the same people year after year to man the Board of
Trustees. We have had to face these same problems for years
and it is rapidly approaching time for some changes. Some
where out there, there must be some "Brother Fiji's" who
can, and will, lend a helping hand to perpetuate a worth

In closing, I would like to say that this year has been most
rewarding and satisfying for me, not only as President of
The Chapter, but as a brother in Phi Gamma Delta.
1 sincerely hope that those graduate brothers of Pi Sigma
who have not taken an active part in the activities of the
Graduate Chapter would attempt to do so. Your support and
participation is asked and needed. May 1 also add that only
