The President
Dear Brothers,
This letter is usually used by the Presi
dent of the Chapter to inform all our
alumni brothers of the progress and suc
cess of the house. This time I want to

JAMES AKE graduated last tall from
McKinley High in Canton, Ohio, as salutatorian of his class. He served for two
years as editor of his high school year

Myrna the Cook
This year we have gained a new mem
ber in our chapter from the Lambda
Kappa chapter of Lawrence College. This
transfer student, Larry Travis, who now
lives in Okemos, Michigan, graduated
from Paris High School in Paris, Illinois.

a finalist in the National Merit Scholar

to Buckeye Boy's State, he was elected to
a position on the state Supreme Court.

in radio speaking at the Illinois State

Larry was awarded a $6,000 Jewel Tea
Scholarship and enrolled last fall at Law

he was in the National Honor Society, on

was active in dramatics. Dick, in a class of
411, graduated 32nd with a grade aver
age of 3.5 out of 4.0. He is also an Eagle
Scout and active in the YMCA, by whom
he also was employed as a swimming in

patent lawyer. MIKE HOLMES was born
in Dowagiac, Michigan. He now lives in
Niles, Michigan, and attended Niles High
School where he graduated with a 3.48
average. In his last three years, he won
a varsity letter in football. Mike served as
senior class vice-president and was a mem
ber of the student council as well as
other student functions.
