Our most sincere thanks go out to those brothers who annually support the Chi
Mu Alumni Fund. Their support makes possible many vital projects that are the

fraternity. Thanks to you, Chi Mu is among the very best.

I celebrated my 25th anniversary with Nancy Vann Barrett, a Tri Delt at
Mizzou. Nancy is currently serving as president of the Jacksonvile Tri Delt
Alumnae chapter. She has served as chapter advisor to the Tri Delts at
Jacksonville University and as District President for Tri Delt to the North
Florida Graduate Chapters. My children include J. Vann Barrett who is 19, a
sophomore at Jacksonville University and a proud member of Delta Phi
chapter of Phi Gamma Delta—and Nancy Katherine (Katy) Barrett who is 16
this month and is a Sophomore at Episcopal High School.
At Jacksonville University I also serve as Chairman of the Alumni
Interffatemity Conference, a group representing each of the 7 fraternities on
the campus and which advises the IFC and the Dean of Students. We are
currently trying to get a housing project off the ground for all the
fraternities. I would enjoy coming to Pig Dinner, but unfortunately the Pig
Dinner at Delta Phi is the same night in Jacksonville. It will make my fourth

Tony Sportsman, of the class of 1982, has identified the men in the latest
mystery photo from left to right as Matt Mocherman, Steve Branch, and Dave
Tlapek.
The picture was taken from the 1982 FUI ISLAND party. Thanks for your
reply Tony!
Tony, in his Mystery Photo Reply, wrote that last summer, while traveling from
Kansas to Fort Myers, FL., Brooks Usrey ('83) and Tony were boarding the
plane and to their surprise, sitting rows in front of them was John Clark ('86).
While waiting to change flights in Memphis they visited and found out that they
both lived in Ft. Myers. The purpose of Brook's trip was to find a place to start
a dental practice.
As Tony ended the note, he responded that Phi Gamma Delta is not for college
days alone. It was a thrill to receive Tony's letter.
