CHI AS30CIATI0N BUILDINC PUJ'D
On October 11 Ohi Association held its fall meeting amid the Fiji
Homecoming Festivities. This meeting v/as characterized by an unusual
amount of activity as several significant actions were annroved by the
association, -actions which could greatly affect the future of Ohi
chapter.
In his report. President Bob Farnum,'68, stated that he had re
ceived a check for $300 v/hich Walter Barry had donated to Ohi Associ ation in his father's, W, Douglas Barry '45, memory. This gift was to
be used for debt reduction. On a bleak note. Bob reported that dues
were not being paid and that Ohi Association spent two and one half
times its income last year.
The first order of business was to appoint a Nominations Committee
to nominate a slate of officers for Ohi Association with elections
being held at the Pig Dinner meeting on April 24, 1976, Don Kaufman,
'75, was elected chairman v/hile John Bobbins '71, A1 Britton '74, and
Hank Riehl '74 comprise the rest of the committee.
In the most significant action of the meeting John Robbins v/as
elected director of development for Ohi Association, At this time
John is concentrating on the development of the Ohi Association Build
ing Fund, The primary function of the Building Fund is to provide
living quarters for undergraduate Ohi Fioi Brothers,
The structure of the development office is an Architectural Com
mittee headed by Bob Teittinen '71, a Finance Committee co-chaired by
Drew Hamelinlc *71 and Trev Coulter '55, A Fund Drive Committee headed
by Steve Pierce '71 and a Site Selection Committee Chaired by Bill
Kuchta '72,
These committees are now in their formative stages and further
development must await the issuance of a policy on housing by the
Interfratemity Council, All volunteers interested in working on any
aspect of this building fund are urged to cc?ntact John Robbins

FIJI ACADEIO"
The 14th biannual Fiji Academy was held in Lexington, Kentucky,
Pome of the Phi rramma Delta General Headquarters, on August 7-10, Ohi
Chapter was ably represented by Joel Buckberg '76, Glen Irwin '78, and
Ron Jacobs *(Q, The Academy schedule proved to be an intense yet enjoy
able program. The basis of the px^ogram was a course in Basic Leadershij
using National Leadership methods.
Included in the schedule were a
model initiation ceremony and Norris Pig Dinner, Inbetween these
special events were infoimal lectures and discussions about the general
aspects of running a chapter. Hopefully the representatives will be
able to use their experiences for the benefit of Ohi Chapter, After
hours were, of course, filled with partying and revelery in the true
Fiji spirit.

HOMECOMING 1975
IHiring the weekend of October 10-11 over 30 alimini returned to
Cli5. Cliapter to help the undergrade celebrate the 1975 Union Homecoming,
Eriday night was a time to renew old friendships, tell nev/ stories and
retell the old ones, Saturday was cold and rainy, but the crov;d in the
Fiji house was warm with hospitality. The Chi Association meeting, as
reported on page 1, involved serious discussion and important decisions.
After the football game, v/here Union did not fare v/ell, a cocktail
party v,/as held for alumni, professors, freshmen and undergrad brothers.
All the guests then enjoyed one of Cookie's superb dinners, later that
night the dining room v/as cleared for a band party and the alinns
