Tom Perry ('80C) has two things in common with his muttbrothers Buzard and Gould® All three lived on 3 Carman, where

Tom is from a line of Fiji's, most of whom
went to Stanford University, in Californiao
In my opinion, this rush class was most successfulo Of
part'icular interest is the recent rival of the "pledge trip"
to another Fiji Chapter, a tradition in which not all the
present undergraduate brothers partxcxpated whxle pledgxng®

a strong, hard-core group of pledges. Towards this end,
Omega Chapter's graduate brothers must play an important role®

The Omega Salute
The X-^ublish3.ng' staff of the BRO/-.DV/A,Y FIJI would like to
hcnor that Omega most represenative of those ideals which best
foll'^w those of the Fraternity Chapter.
It is for this reason
that wG salute Brother Robert Stanage Curtissj College 3.9'17o

1955-5S« recipient of the President's Cup in 19?:> (for dis
tinguished serv?,ce by an alumni), President and Director of
the University Piedal for Conspicuous Alucini oervxce in i9^Po
Of course his alumni awards -and services reflect his
success in business.
As a Heal Estate Counselor since the year
he graduated, bob became a prominent figure in his field, acting
as Vice-President and/or director of each firm he vrorked for,
until he became President of the Horace S. Sly and Co. Real-
ators in Janu^ary, 1962.
In February of 1969, the Ely Company
merged with Cruikshank and Co., where Bob became Chairman of
the Board until he retired in Daoeniber, 1975.
Presently,
\r\nPa - .^ 5
Bob serves as a counselor for the Ely - Cruikshank Co,, Inc,
a capacity he's filled since retiring as Chairman of the Boardo
Throughout his earner. Bob has served on various Real Estate
Associations and Boards, most of which he's chaired or pre
sided, as well as won many prominent awards for hxs work ana
services©
Fortunately for Phi Gamma Delta, success didn't spell the
end of an era with Brother Curtiss, Bob has always been an
active Fiji, serving as President of the Omega Association
for 17 years (he now reigns as President Emeritus)® In add
ition, Brother Curtiss was President of the Xi Graduate
Chapter from 1964 - 197'"^
is now a President Emeritus®
Still an active Fiji, Brother Curtiss typlifies the phrases
"not for College Days alone,"
Perhaps this article doesn't bear as much prestxge and
honor as most of the awards and achievemerts attained by
Brother Curtiss so far, and mayb-i it's tme as v/ell, ^hst
Bob really doesn't have to put any more time and effort into t)
Fraternity in which he's more than distinquxshed himself,
but he does anyway® I'm glad there are guys like Bob Curtiss
around to keep things going in the Fraternity, because it's
Brothers like Bob who inspire the undergraduate.s to "carrj
on" as the motto "Perge" suggests® Our salute to you,
Brother Curtiss, you make all of us proud to be;
