FIJI'S RAISE OVER
$1500
Anyone driving around the Ga.
Tech campus during the cold, damp,
pre-dawn hours of Nov. 27 would have
been surprised to see that they were
not the only ones up at 6:00 AT-l.
Normally, very few of us would have
even considered being awake in At
lanta that early, but the morning of
the Tech-Ga. game was the occasion
for a joint relay with the Tech FIJI
chapter, the "FIJI-Hugh Hendrix Mem
orial Run to Athens."
The brainchild of P.R. chairman
Tommy Draffin, the joint relay was
performed to raise money for the Uni
versity IFC's annual Leukemia Drive.
And with the help of the Tech FIJIs,
Kappa Deuteron was able to contribute
over $1500 to the cause. The money
came largely from the Athens and At
lanta business communities and from
U.Ga. groups.
