The area in which this chapter must make
its' longest strides is graduate relations. It is
inevitable that a new house must replace the

I think it is rather evident that FUI is on the
rise. The man who is helping us reach our
potential is new Purple Legionaiire, Sheldon
Thorpe. Although Sheldon is not a Nu Beta,
he is pure Phi Gam, and definitely bleeds
purple. Before finishing I would like to make
clear that the upswing going on here has not
been witnessed by the brotherhood alone. I
have worked hand in hand with the Dean of
Students Office. Deans' Loser, Page, and
Carver have all noticed the turnaround taking
place, and have commended us. Dean Carver
has been a guest at dinner this semster. This
is part of our weekly dinner guest which is
new for Nu Beta. Guests have included
members of both the Rutgers' and New
Brunswick communities.
FUI is on the rise in all aspects. As we
move forward into the 90's we cannot wait
to tackle all upcoming challenges. Rutgers'
FUI will soon be back on top, you can bet on

of winter break. The kitchen was repainted a
soft gray color and new tiles were laid down
in the basement. Even though it was very
difficult since many brothers were occupied
during break we did pass inspection.
Major work was done in the basement. A
new ceiling was put over the bar area. This
new ceiling was the pledge project and was a
huge success. Currently a new fire door is
being installed on the same floor.
Both house chairmen, Diego Parma and
John Clancy have instituted a house crew
that runs everyday during the week except
Sundays. The new house crew has been a
success for the most part and with the
