I would like to start off by thanking all the graduate
brothers for their fantastic support. Thanks to all of
you, Lambda Nu has all new carpeting in the second
and third halls, on the old stairs, along with newly
painted walls. We encourage all of you to stop by any
time and see the new changes at Lambda Nu. We would
also like to encourage you to attend our 1st annual
Graduate/Undergraduate golf tournament on April 20.
We have a lot of things planned including prizes, a
banquet, and of course, a beer cart.
We at Lambda Nu have been extremely busy since
we returned from Christmas break. On February 16 we
had our 5th annual all-house retreat. Thanks to the help
of Brothers Greg Sawyers '73, Chuck Clifford '78, Joe
Grant '78, Tim Wentz '75, Pat Ash '67, Neal Westphal
'62, Scott Jackman '73, and our speaker Paul Witherby

move from 4th to 1st in the Cheney Cup. The next
weekend we held the 2nd annual section Convention.

The second semester is well underway here at Lamb

We have signed five new pledges to be part of our

\r\nGraduate Relations
Brothers,
Thanks to several recent events, Graduate Relations
is going strong and we hope to make it even better.
A Christmas brunch was sponsored by the Omaha
Graduate Chapter at the Regency West on December
27. Many undergraduates from Lambda Nu and Alpha
Iota of Iowa State attended. Thanks to the Omaha
graduates, everyone enjoyed some good food and good
conversation.
We held a Graduate Casino Night on March 2. There
was a good turn-out and many graduates contributed to
the house improvement fund. The oldest graduate was
Paul Mastin '38. The wildest were Jeff (King) Welsh
'82, and Gary (Downtown) Brown '83, who kept the
dealers up rmtil 4 a.m. Tharnks to everyone for coming.
We all had a great time and I know the next Casino
Night will be an even greater success.
Upcoming is the Fiji Open. It is a Graduate/
Undergraduate Golf Day to be held at the Ashland
Country Club on April 20. We will be sending out flyers
with more information soon, but start talking to other
graduates now so that everyone will get interested. If
you have any questions, call or write to me at the Fiji
house.
Islander is April 27. If you are interested in coming,

Pig Dinner is October 25. It's sure to be the best
ever. It will be held at the Comhusker in Lincoln again.
More information on this is coming also.

those successes. You will always be number one with

\r\nSocial
Public Relations
Brothers,
We have had a very busy semester socially here at
Brothers,
After a first semester full of Public Relations events,
we are ready to start the second semester in the same
way.
This semester will be very busy with most of our
events in the second half of the semester. We have
already begun our busy schedule by starting up Foun
ders Day again. This involves delivering a cake and
congratulations to sororities on their Founders Day. We
also participated in the National Food Distribution
again on February 6 and 7. This involved unloading,
sacking, and distributing food to need families. Around
25 Brothers participated in this federally funded pro
gram. We are also beginning to put a greater emphasis
on Brothers Against Drunk Drivers (BADD). This is
designed to keep Brothers who have had too much to
drink at parties off the road.
The second half of this semester will be loaded with
fun and interesting projects and philanthropies. Once
again this year we will be doing the Fiji Pole Sit. This
will be held April 1 through the 4, the week after Spring
Break. This promises to be a great philanthropy and a
Lambda Nu.
The first party of second semester annually has been
the 'Coming off Probation" party. This is to celebrate
to coming off probation nine years ago. We had it with
the Chi O s. Phi Psi', and Alpha Phi's, and although it
went very well, I do not think the Alpha Phi's will be
invited to help host it next year.
The weekend was just as action-packed as the week
was around the house. Friday night we had an FNC
with the Beta's, PiPhi's and the Tri-Delt's at the
Clayton House, and then right away on Saturday we
had our MTV party with the AZD's, Kappa Sig's, and
Gamma Phi's at the Southwest Civic Center.
Two weeks later we had the Pajama party in the
house. This was the usual blow-out and a good time was
had by all who managed to stay awake.
We have some great parties coming up such as "I
Love My Harley" and Shot-A-Minutes. Thursday
nights around the house have been interesting to say
the least. Do not forget Brothers that Islander is coming
up April 22.
