Since the I st publication of the Rose Fiji, two

loss of our lounge on campus due to' the
re ovation of Moench Hall has caused problems. The
ounge allowed those of us on campus and off, in and
out of the house, to get together and exchange
information on what was taking place during the week.
It was also a place for us to keep in cont

Through thi~" c~~n9~! both chairmen have worked
together to provide better continuity among the two
periods in a rushees association with our chapter.
As always, we are. looking to make minor changes to
improve the organization of our chapter and to
increase its proficiency. We are looking to accomplish
a lot this upcoming fall, and are positive that we will
come back strong and" in high spirits after summer
break, which seems to always replenish a Rho Phi's
energy. (,)ur task will seem easier due to the enthu
siasm shown by our 25 new initiates. With their
attitudes, the chapter's progress can only be up
wards.
Not only do we need support from our active

House and Grounds Report·
Many improvements have taken place around the
Rho Phi chapter house in the past year and many are
planned for the coming summer. All three of the
upstairs bathrooms have been completely remodeled.
They received new concrete floors as well as tile on all
the walls. New plumbing was installed as well as new
rain gutters. New carpeting was obtained for the liVing
room as well as one of the upstairs bedrooms. The
Housing Corporation also instailed a commercial
washer and dryer set in the house at the beginning of
the year. Another major area of renovation wa$ 'he
kitchen. It received a new floor, new cabinets, flew
counter tops, and new finish on the walls.
This summer, the House Corporation plans to have
the downstairs area rewired. They also plan to have
more new carpet installed in the upstairs bedrooms as
well as putting a final finish on the bathroom floors.
Many thanks are due to our Housing Corporation for
their loose purse strings and many efforts to improve
the condition of the house. Our house is looking better
than ever and should stay that way for years to
come.
