Pig Dinner Huge Success

Phi Gam News Break
That's right, Brothers. Thank you for making the
1991 Pig Dinner a success. Due to ticket sales, donations and
budgeted monies, we have accumulated over $8,000 for

I have plans to start rotating the Pig Dinner from
Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Stillwaterevery year to accomodate those Brothers who are unable to travel far distances. I
plan on having it in Tulsa this upcoming year. I hope to have
a tentative date in the next couple of months. Thanks again
and hope to see you at Pig next year!
Sigma Omicron Gets New
Purple Legionaire
Ever since the recolonization, Sigma Omicron has
been without a Purple Tegionaire. Fortunately for us, this
role has just been filled. Geoffrey Grabow ('89) was accq)ted to the job and has done an amazingjob at it. He offers
advice and insight to our problems and questions. Geoff has
become a great friend of this chapter and we thank him
gratefully for his unending efforts. If you wish to contact
Geoff, his address is:

Vice-president
Last week Ryan Welter ('93) was elected the new
Vice-President for the student body. Ryan is a sophomore
biology major from Tulsa. He was running against two
other candidates and needed 50% of the vote to win the
election. The results show Ryan receiving about 700 of
the 1000votes. It was quite a victory for Ryan and Raina
and we all know they will do a fantastic job. Phi Gamma
Delta is taking this university by storm and many people
are quickly learning that we mean business.
\r\nSpring Fever Hits
Sigma Omicron
Yes, springfever hits again. And therewas only one
solution to this disease; Spring Break. As classes aided on
Friday, about fifteen of us loaded up our swim trunks and
beach towels and headed down to South Padre Island for a

Now, aflo" that week we returned from Texas as

that weekend. However, Jimmie Valentine ('91) was not.
Tbe pledges kidnapped him at 4am that Saturday morning.
Ryan Welter ('93), sleeping on the lower bunk, was an
unfortunate casualty. Awakened by the struggle Ryan at

on their activities.
I would like to give my personalthanks to all of the
Brothers who came to Pig Dinner. Your donations are
greatly appreciatedand will help our rush tranoidously. We
are having 53 brothers moving into the house next year, so
that leaves only a few spaces left open. With the funds we
have for rush we should be able to sign about 30-35 men.
That could mean up to 80-85 Fijis, 60 of which will be living
in house. If this happens our chapter may need to look into
obtaining an Annex.
Also, I want to plan some more Graduate/Under
graduate activitiesthroughoutthe school year so that we can
start to get to know each other as friends and Brothers. I had
wanted to start these activities before the end of this semes
ter but our calendar is booked,as yours probablyis too. So,
at the start of next year, I will have an activity so that you can
come down, join in and med;our new pledges. Staytuned for
more details.

prepare for Spring Sing
That's right. Brothers. Sigma Omicron and the
GammaRiis havejoined togetherto participate in this year's
Spring Sing competition. Our showis based on a 1920'sjazz
theme, including songs like Brand New Attitude and A
Nightengale Sang in Berkley Square. There is a total of
about fifty guys and girls in the show and we are all
practicing our hardest to make it thebest it canbe. If you
happen to be coming down for Mom's Weekend then you
will get the chance to see the performance that Saturday
night Also, if you are going to be in Stillwaterthat weekend
please stop by the house Saturday. We will be there enter
tainingour mothers. Anyway, it sJiould be a very entertain
ing show and we all hope to see you there.
Be sure to drop Geoffrey Grabowa letta sometime.
He is doing an exceptional job and is a great asset to this
chapter. Geoff attends our cabinet meetings on Sunday
nights and makes at least one chapter meeting a month. He
is dedicated to this house and makes all of us at Sigma
Omicron proud. Thanks, Geoff!
Also,a few Graduates have broughtto my attaition
