TREASURER'S REPORT
Brothers,
As my term of office ends, I would like
to tell you of the goals that the Pi Iota
Chapter has accomplished, and some that it
has set for itself. Over the past year we have

at back-to-back sports cups.
But more has happened to the Chapter
of which you should be aware. The national
fraternity has joined a new insurance group
called Fraternity Insurance Purchasing Group
(FIPG). The guidelines for this policy are
very strict. In fact, to ideally follow these
guidelines the Chapter has to

the
renovation.
The

In my efforts to collect from graduates, I

"As of right now, the graduate
accounts receivable is $14,196.71."
Even though I got the ball rolling, we
are far from eliminating the graduate accounts

Another change has been the menu.
Thes days when Carl Brown served something

Our present cook, Armand Lemeiux, has

Letter
Dear Brothers,
Some, if not all, of you know - F.A. Morse has been a fairly silent organization
for the past several years. During the past couple of years we have attempted to
regroup and to begin the work necessary to finance a renovation of "Old 99". The
next few years are going to be crucially important for all the brotherhood who
remember the good times at Pi Iota and care to continue the tradition of the
fraternity as we knew it, not only to keep a cherished home of memories to visit
when we come back to WPI, but also to extend the possibility of our experiences to
the many future generations that could benefit from being able to say, "Mighty
Proud to be a Fiji!"
There are two main times when the Graduate Brotherhood returns to WPI and
Pi Iota. One is Homecoming and the other is Pig Dinner. Other than these times, it
is extremely hard to keep up with everyone due to family and business demands. If
we wish to continue to share our common brotherhood, it is very important to try to
make it back to Pi Iota on these occasions. Last year's Pig Dinner had a
tremendous turnout - which means only around 10% of the Graduate Brothers made
it back! Let's try to show the Undergraduates the meaning of the saying, "Phi
Gamma Delta is not for College Days Alone" and come back to this year's Pig
Dinner!
As some of you may also remember, according to the F.A. Morse Bylaws, there
are annual dues of $2.5. We have not requested these for several years. This lack of
revenue and the ever increasing costs of running the House, create a need to
reestablish the tradition of yearly dues. If possible, please plan to pay the 1989/90
dues at Pig Dinner to save mailing costs.
Official dues requests will be mailed
shortly after Pig Dinner.
Please try to make it back to Pi Iota to renew old acquaintances and reacquaint
yourself with "Old 99" at this year's Pig Dinner! Respond to Pi Iota if you are
planning to attend, (508) 752-18.38. I look forward to seeing you on April 7, 1990.
Fraternally yours,

configuration of the F.A. Morse Association and discussion concerning the Capital

Dear Brothers,
Just to let you know how Pi Iota is
once again shining with an academic light.
For an unofficial GPA, "Old 99" posted a
3.17 for A-Term and a 3.23 for B-Term,
keeping us above the school's average. The
Brothers say this success is due to the
graduation of last years seniors. As far as
social education, the house is looking forward
to its 2nd annual Alcohol awareness seminar,
the Brotherhood at all times and on a formal
basis every Sunday evening. To continue this
success, the scholarship chairman is invoking
the expertise of Dr. Groccia, the director of
Student Counseling, in order to properly train
the pledge's study habits. All seems to be
working; our pledges possess one of the
highest CPA's on campus.

NOTE
Brothers,
We would like to thank all of you who have taken the time to fill out and return to us
the "Alumni Information Forms". Unfortunately, these forms were lost last year in transition,
leaving us without any Graduate Brother information for this issue of "Pi Ides". We
encourage you to please fill out the new "Graduate Brother Questionnaire" so that
we will be able to keep your brothers informed in the next issue. Also, we would
appreciate any comments or suggestions you may have.
We hope you like the new look of the Pi Ides and we both look forward to seeing
all of you at Pig Dinner '90 on Saturday April 7th. Hopefully you will be able to attend.
