DEDICATED TO THE GRADUATES OF UPSILON SIGMA
November I968

Since our last bulletin Upsilon Sigma has been very busy on campus and in
Greek life at Utah State. Listed below are some of our major activities to keep
you up to date on chapter news.
HOMECOMING:
Our first float as a chapter of Phi Gamma Delta took SECOND PLACE
during the Homecoming parade Oct.26. Congratulations go to all of the brothers
who were up ALL NIGHT before the parade putting the float together.
Chairman of
the float was Roy Irwin '70.
VISIT;
Homecoming brought Gary Bingham '6? back to Logan along with his wife
Coral and son Wes. We enjoyed Gary's visit and hope that more of our graduates
will follow his welcome example.
PLEDGES; Our new pledge class has elected the following officers: PresidentTom Price, Vice Presidnet- Alan Lichty, Treasurer- Jim Mackey, SecretaryBrad Bell, Social Chairman- Kim Schaneveldt, Scholarship Chairman- Harvey Webb,
and Parliamentarian- Joe Armstrong.
AWARD;
Outstanding Pledge Spring I968 Award was given to Charles Windham.
LOVER;
Paul Beyer '70 is engaged to Margaret Good.
ACTIVES;
Four new brothers have gained the Black Diamond; Kent Barnes '71,
Gary Guernsey '69, Judson Wiebe '70, and Charles Windham '70.
SERVICE; The Fijis have just completed participation in a Red Cross blood drive
and a work project at the Cache Training Center for Handicapped Children.
BOWLING;
BIRTHDAY;
The Phi Gam bowling team is now in first place.
Jud Wiebe recently turned twenty and presented cause for a small Fiji
journey to Preston.
Please let us know any address changes so we can keep our graduate file up
to date. The Spodi Odi will be Nov. 1$ and the Black Diamond Formal will be
Dec. 7. Remember Phi Gamma Delta is NOT FOR COLLEGE DAYS ALONE.
