These

Sigma Mu Sports
The Sigma Mu
Chapter
of
Phi
Gamma Delta had an outstanding sem
ester in sports for the Spring of
1991. The first step was to enter
the Chairperson Program, a
program
designed to recognize the best ath
letic organization on campus by
awarding a trophy to that particu
lar group.
After entering this
program, great things began to hap
pen for our chapter in the sports
area. We participated
in fifteen
of nineteen sports offered by the
Intramural Sports Department.
The following is a summary of
the key factors in our quest for
excellence in the sports area. Dre

tournament championship. In racquetball and bowling, we had the top
two finishers in both sports.
We
captured the most points in volley
ball, racquetball, flag football,
and basketball in our quest to win
the All School Trophy.
We also
scored second place points in soft—
ball and table
tennis.
At
this
point we are in first place in the
point standings in the tight compe
tition for the championship trophy.
