MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY
THE NEW HOUSE
SEPTEMBER, 1978
SPORTS
The house is really looking
good as it nears completion. The
brick is almost finished, most of
the concrete has been poured and
the upstairs hallway has been paint-ed. The first layer of stucco has
also been applied. The bedrooms
are ready to be painted and each
brother is responsible for painting
his own room. The carpet was de-livered Monday the 18th and is
being stored until it can be put
down. Again, we commend our Qrad-uate Brothers for their great
support. The way they have worked
for this house proves that PHI GAMMA
DELTA is not for college days alone.
The sports program is in full
swing now.
Steve Divine is in charge
of sports this semester.
Flag football will begin Sept-ember 24th.
The Phi Gamms will
have 3 teams participating.
Swimming is over now and Dale
Currie and Gordon Steward represented
us in the finals.
Ping Pong is going on now, but
none of our men have played yet.
GRADUATE NEWS

HOMECOMING
Homecoming, October 14th, is
sure to be an exciting time for
all of us. The Bulldogs will be
playing Florida State. The fun is
going to begin after the game. Our
Social Chairman (Frank Jones) has
arranged for Collage to provide our
dance music. The only other thing
we need is you and your date. So,
we encourage all of our Graduate
Brothers to be making plans now to
join us October 14th for the best
Homecoming party at MSU.
on September 23rd in Memphis.
Duke Loden is in graduate school
at State and will be the Graduate
resident in the new house.
Carter Naugher is farming now
in Ponotoc.
Ricky Hartfield is the fraternity
advisor at Southeast Missouri State
University in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Steve Price is the main man of
Park and Recreation in McGee.
