William G. Hanley '60 sends this note:
"Phi Gamma Delta taught me hu
mility, teamwork and that 'friendship is
the greatest influence.' Two ofmysons,
Pete and Tom, were Fijis at Kansas
State and Iowa State, respectively. It
was really great to attend both their
initiations ~ it was very specialfor me.
The oldest son. Bill Jr., was a Sigma
Chi at Nebraska ~ hopefully, we 'IIhave
some Fiji grandsons! Last summer, I
played golfandfished with Jim button
in Minnesota. Jim was a pledge broth
er, and we both have summer homes in
Minnesota, only 30 miles away ~ really
neat. Also see Tom Spurgeon, another
pledge brother, often. We play golf to
getherfrequently."

Bruce A. Bosse '80 recently became a
partner at Merit Construction in Knoxville, TN. "Boz" also co-chaired the
construction of Fort Kid, a $125,000

business leaders.

taught mehow to bea team player. The
guys in the house, well, I couldn't
have ever dreamed that I would have
enjoyed my college days with a better
group ofguys. Myfraternity experience
also helped me become a more respon
sible individual, which has assisted me
in becoming an effective business and
community leader."
