be realized within two years ifwe can all j)ull and band together, like we all know we can. A new house is a reality
that we can all share and be a part of for years.
Alpha Upsilon is on the move, from winning Step Sing once again, to winning grade average with a nearly
3-point average(out of4)we have j)roven we can't be stoi){)ed. Sports, S(jA, cheerleader. Plainsman and War

We hope that you give the New I louse Fund Drive some serious consideration and even send the i)ledge card

President's Report
The current cabinet has been very pleased with the
progress Alpha Upsilon has made since our term
began Fall Quarter. The cabinet immediately setforth
its goals for providing the chapter's direction for the
coming year. Our first and foremost goal was to in
volve the undergraduate brotliers in a workable plan
to solve our housing problem. Our second goal was
to improve our scholarship after finishing 2nd in
grades the past three quarters. And finally, we
wanted to continue our excellence in serving our
community.
The latter two goals, much to our pleasure, have
been exceeded beyond our imagination. We finished
first in grades fall and winter quarter and remcwed all
doubt as to the Fiji's supremacy in scholarship. We
also raised 89,000 in fund raising and instituted
several new programs in our community service effort.
Our j)rimary goal is in the working stages. Presently the undergraduates are a worldng part of the House
Coq)oration's New House Fund Drive. A majority of the undergraduates are involved in one of the four
committees seiwing the 1 louse Fund Drive. At present we have collected over 850,000 and are veiy o{)timistie
about the realization ofa new house. Finclosed you will find a pledge card to become a part ofour long awaited
dream. 1 hope you will join the undergraduates in Building for the Future!

from previous dri\'es. There are several faetors that
make it unicgie. The key points are:
1. The (diapter is just about out of debt. By 1987,

Tlie money that has been raised thus far has been

81,000 eaeh and 22 brothers responded to our plea.
In addition, 12 others have unselfishly eontrihuted
