Colony Earns Charter at Ekklesia

Saturday, October 13, 1994, at approximately 1:30 p.m. The 146th Ekklesia, convened in Kansas City, Missouri,

ter for underprivileged youth in downtown Kansas City.
As a result of Phi Gamma Delta's efforts the city council
proclaimed August 13, 1994, as "Phi Gamma Delta Day"
in Kansas City. Most of the Drake delegation participat
ed in this worthwhile community service project.
The Ekklesia was also an opportunity to conduct
the business of Phi Gamma Delta. Sweeping changes
were made to itlie.traditional constitution of the
fraternity. Although the Colony could not directly par
ticipate in the voting process it was exciting for the char
tering vote to take place at an Ekklesia that will always

Finally,the Ekklesia was the most outstanding rep
resentation yet the Colony has received of the'brother-
hood of Phi Gamma Delta. The Colony members inter
acted with brothers of Phi Gamma Delta from across the
national and had an opportimity to relate closely with
other Colonies in attendance.

Fred Stines Named Delta's Legate
Fred Stines (Iowa '49) was selected to be Delta
Colony's Legate for their chartering on November 4.

look. Little did I know how well I
