Fellow Brothers,
Pi Gamma is once again kicking up its
heels in preparation for another year of
schoolwork, sports, fraternity projects,
and, of course, outrageous parties.
This summer was one of great activity
for the brothers of Pi Gamma. To begin,
we revived our Founder's Day BBQ,

What We Do With Our Money
New Recruits....
This year's Rush presented many new
challenges due to the ever-declining
number of rushees, but in the end, it was
extremely successful. This was the first
year that the "Closed Rush Committee"
was introduced as a means of overcom
ing the numbers problem.
We began the school year with a
Closed Rush list of nine young men, all
of whom eventually pledged. The efforts
of the Closed Rush Committee were
Since the end of the 1993-4 school year,
the House Improvement Committee has
been very busy. While occasionally
unable to secure funds, the committee
and the Chapter have never had a
shortage of enthusiasm or ideas.
Since April 1993, one of our more
notable improvements has been our new
Chapter marker. Under the direction of a

As usual. First Rush was an informal
meeting night at the Fiji Haus, which
was in top shape with its new paint job.
At Second Rush, the Fiji philosophy of
'work hard, play hard', coupled with our
Chapter house. With a core of brothers
who were living in the house for the
summer, a group was organized to give
the entire outside of the house a new coat
of paint.
Last year's Pledge Class, with funding
from the Active and Graduate Chapters,
did a major face-lift to the basement. The
then pledge brothers repaired and
painted the ceiling, fixed up and
revamished the cedar work on the walls.
House Manager's Report
This has been a year of transition here at
the Fiji HAUS. The Haus, usually fullypacked, has been slow to fill this year, as
the number of brothers from Eastern
Canada have dwindled, and the majority
of the brothers are now living in the
Vancouver area. However, not only are
we making efforts to fill the extra rooms
with some borders, but a number of our
neophyte brothers and pledges will soon
be joining us at 5785 Agronomy Road.
Those brothers currently living in the
Haus have been rewarded with a new-
look interior, as the Haus has been
completely repainted. Morale is very
high at the Haus, especially with the
addition of Darren Molingas, our new
cook; with,a myriad of new recipes, the
chapter has never before been treated to
such high quality food. Not only that, but
Darren's past experience as a cook has
helped us to reduce our ordering costs,
and Darren is working harder than the
last three cooks combined. The Haus is
once again the place to be and, thanks to
House Corp., the improvements have
made the Haus a stand-out on Campus.
