LEFFEL NAMED NEW PURPLE LEGIONNAIRE
By Paul Mick
After four years of being Purple Legionnaire, Joe Weist Rho Phi
'87 has stepped down to become Section Chief.
The chapter's new Purple Legionnaire is Brent Leffel '91. Leffel
graduated from ISU with a degree in occupational and safety
management. He currently works as an environmental engineer in
Kentland.
He said that the chapters size, 54, is ideal for the objectives that we
need to accomplish in the future.
He said, "The main thing is to get the NIs involved with the chapter."
He intends to pay special attention to fundamental committees like
scholarship and graduate relations.
"Grades were down from last year. The cabinet, chairman and
myself are looking for ways to improve the chapters grades."
Graduate relations will be very important in the next year with the
celebration of the 25th anniversary of Iota Sigma.
Leffel said that he would like to see more graduate brothers attend
events like Pig dinner. Homecoming, and Tandem.
"The newsletter is an important link between the graduates and
chapter. More brothers need to keep in touch with the chapter," Leffel
said.
