Fiji Gators Display Athletic Excellence
1
The 1975-76 Allegheny basketball
season with its fine 14-6 record was
highlighted by outstanding
performances from six Gator Fijis.
Finishing up their careers are cocaptains Dave Malone and Bob
DelGreco. David ends the year in
Gatorland as the second leading
scorer in Allegheny history with
over 800 points. Although injured at
the midpoint of the season, he came
on with a strong finish as he
demonstrated his style of basketball
play and all-out hustle that has made
him a favorite of fans in the four
years he has been A Gator regular
and letterman. Bob 'the Greek'
DelGreco also ended his illustrious
career as the Allegheny backcourt
general of the past two years. This
seasQn he broke his own school
record of 151 assists with a total of
161 while contributing to the potent
Gator scoring attack with a 10 point
per game average.
Two juniors, Marty Orzeckowski
and Dave Ellis also had fine seasons.
Marty took firm hold on the number
one position in Allegheny history
with a three year total of 860 points.
Thisyear he led the team with a 17
point average while placing on the
all-tournament teams in both the
Allegheny and Marietta holiday
tournaments.
Another Allegheny star was

visited Allegheny and Pi Chapter for
three days during the first week in
February. The brothers looked on
Jim's stay as both enjoyable and
imformative. He had ample opportunity to visit with officers as
well as the new pledge class. The
pledges and officers respected his
opinions and assistance in outlining
the expectations of each. The
brothers felt Pi Chapter's continuing
improvement was recognized by
Jim and appeared in his report. We
are looking forward to his visit third
term.

New curtains for the hallways and
the remodeling of an old TV room
are being taken care of by the House
Corporation.
The kitchen debt we've been
struggling with has been substantially lowered.
Despite the loss of fourteen
seniors; this year's freshmen are
foreseen to be a real future asset to
the house.
An appropriate prelude to next
year is the increased economic

Fraternally,
As the newly elected President of
Pi, I am attempting to set certain
goals for the betterment of this
chapter. The basis of this philosophy
lies in the feasibility of these goals.
However, I feel we can safely say Pi

with the highest donating percentage. Pi Chapter won the drive with
34 per cent of the house donating.
The Red Cross expressed their
gratitude to Pi Chapter and considered the overall donation
program a success.
Pi Chapter recently hosted its 1976
Frank Norris Pig Dinner. The house
spent approximately $5.00.00 on food,
liquor and beer.
We recently received a letter from
an alumni from Florida. He enclosed
a check for $5.00 and stated that
even if he lived five minutes away
from Pi Chapter, he still would not
have come. He attributed his indifference to the poor treatment he
received here in 1969.
