On July 29"- August 1%, 2010 three Undergraduate Colony Brothers plus BCA President Mark Trenton travelled to Phoenix Arizona to petition for the Lambda Omega Charter in front of the Expansion Committee and then the Ekklesia floor. After nearly two years of hard work, dedication and persistence the Ekklesia has granted Lambda Omega’s Charter! WE’RE BACK! The weekend was filled with fun events and outings such as a trip to the Raw Hide Amusement Park but also held many business sessions for the Ekklesia floor and Colony operation sessions for the Colony Brothers. Since the Charter has now been approved, the Cabinet is working with Josh Laufenberg (IHQ Staff) to continue to excel in Colony operations and to have a successful Chartering Weekend. We hope to put together a committee in the near future consisting of Undergraduate and Graduate brothers to make this weekend a very successful one. Second Annual Lambda Omega Golf Tournament On Saturday July 24", 2010 a small but illustrious group of Graduate and Undergraduate brothers participated in the second annual Lambda Omega Golf Tournament at Mayfield Golf Club. Congratulations to Sean Lowry and Mike Smith who won the tournament with a 79. We ended up raising some money for the Educational Foundation of Canada which helps pay off AAA scholarships to brothers who achieve a 3.0 GPA in their pledging semester. Although it was a rainy day, and boy did it pour, it was a fantastic day filled with friendship and most of all — brotherhood. We hope to see you at next year’s tournament! School is right around the corner, be sure to check out the September edition of the E-Newsletter to see all of our recruitment efforts. The Chain The Chain is unfortunately still in the works. My deepest apologies but the cabinet’s number one priority this summer was making our Charter petition the best it could possibly be. | put all of my efforts into making sure that come Ekklesia we would receive an approval — and that we did. | will try to get this newsletter finished and sent out as soon as possible. Furthermore, our hands will be tied as well with recruitment only a few weeks away, and Chartering Weekend fast approaching.
