EO ASSOCIATION REPORT
FIJI FLASHBACK
Epsilon Omicron Reinstallation 1977
As appears in the winter 1978 edition
of The Phi Gamma Delta magazine.
Oregon Chapter Officers from left:
(back row) Archon Vice President
Louis A. “Bud” Mangels (Indiana 1956),
Archon Treasurer Robert Denny
Watt (Washington 1935), Paul Thimm
(Oregon 1980), Dean McGee (Oregon
1979), Archon President John
Sheppard (Pittsburgh 1944), Mike Roland
(Oregon 1979), David K. Ralston
(Oregon 1978), Archon Councilor James
Vice (Chicago 1954), Brian Davis
(Oregon 1979) and Archon Councilor
Don Mighell (Texas 1956).
Following our October 2011 Pig Dinner, the attending
International Fraternity Officer disclosed the lnternational
Headquarters desire and efforts to re‐colonize Fiji at Eugene.
The EO Board of Trustees (House Corporation) passed a
detailed resolution acknowledging and lauding the
re‐colonization efforts, however limiting financial assistance
from EO funds and no alumni financial solicitations until
such time as the Colony becomes a cohesive group
adhering to our fraternity’s principles of brotherhood,
scholarship, campus‐community service and financial
responsibility. Present indications and reports from the
EO Society indicate an encouraging 2012 spring term record
and positive plans for fall term.
The status of the EO Association, operating as the House
Corporation, remains favorable to the extent our chapter
house property is now debt free and remains leased to
a responsible tenant. All obligations are current. We
receive net monthly rental income and enjoy a favorable
bank balance.
The present Board of Trustees and Trustee Advisors are:

“SOCIETY” STUDENT LEADER RYAN DONLON REPORT
Until we receive official Fraternity confirmation as a Fiji Colony, we call ourselves the EO Society, standing for
Encyclopedia Ontos (Greek translation “all knowing beings”). Our 25 members at the end of spring term have taken
positive steps in re‐creating the pursuit of perfection in the tradition of well‐rounded, well‐respected members of
the community and the campus. We are serious about our commitment to excellence and our goal of becoming
the most respected fraternity at Oregon.
Last spring term, our members were involved in community and campus activities while maintaining a 3.21 GPA,
second among the 15 fraternities. By early January 2013, we hope to report 50 Society members and work with the
International Fraternity Expansion Staff on campus and receive official designation as a Fiji Colony.
To send information on a prospective student, contact Ryan Donlon at rdonlon@uoregon.edu or 503.334.6913.
