CALLING ALL GRADUATE
BROTHERS:
We are currently in the process of
continuing to build a
graduate/undergraduate network
and we need all of your help! If you have
changed residency or are planning to move,
please let us know where to contact you.
In the future we would like to increase the
number of events we have planned for
grad-relations in addition to Pig Dinner.
Also, if you could please provide
information about your profession, as we
would like to create a communication
chain for brothers in the same areas of
study/profession. Please relay
communication to our Corresponding
Secretary (Ethan Kaplan). Contact
information will be provided at the end of
this publication. Thank you!

State of the House
Currently
we
only
have
11
men
living
in
the
house
following
the
sanctions
handed
down
by
the
University,
which
did
not
allow
for
us
to
recruit
a
spring
class
that
could
live-‐in
during
the
2011-‐
2012
school
year.
However,
with
the
recently
initiated
fall
pledge
class
and
an
expected
spring
recruitment
class
of
25+
men,
we
hope
to
have
the
chapter
house
filled
and
totally
occupied
with
brothers
living
there
throughout
the
years
to
come.
Despite
a
loss
in
revenue
due
to
the
lack
of
rent
money
generated
by
the
chapter,
the
brothers
have
spent
countless
hours
and
substantial
amounts
of
elbow
grease
keeping
the
Mu
Upsilon
house
in
pristine
condition.
Over
this
past
summer,
Brother
Christopher
Wittine
(Outgoing-‐
Historian)
dedicated
his
time
to
making
renovations
to
the
house
on
a
limited
budget.
After
his
renovations,
the
house
looks
great.
These
acts
reached
a
breaking
point
when
Gamma,
our
owl,
was
stolen.
The
culprit
was
identified
and
Gamma
has
since
been
returned.
In
response
to
this
breach
in
security,
we
have
installed
new
locks
on
the
doors
of
130
E.
High
Street.
This
locking
system
requires
a
key
fob,
which
is
wired
to
an
electronic
locking
system.
So
far,
this
has
been
a
very
successful
addition
to
the
house,
as
we
have
had
no
problems
with
security
since
its
installment.
Finally
our
neighbors,
the
Dubois
Bookstore
and
apartment
complex,
which
underwent
major
renovations
this
past
year,
have
laid
sod
in
our
side
yard
and
completed
landscaping
against
their
building.
This
act
of
generosity
serves
as
payment
for
the
damages
and
inconvenience
to
our
chapter
that
resulted
from
the
major
construction
of
the
building.
We
continue
to
have
a
strong
relationship
with
Dubois
Bookstore
and
thank
them
for
their
work
on
our
side
yard,
which
now
looks
better
than
ever.
As
many
of
you
may
know,
we
ran
into
a
few
scares
last
year
regarding
the
security
of
the
house
following
some
instances
of
breaking
and
entering.

marks
the
55th
anniversary
of
the
founding
of
the
Mu
Upsilon
Chapter
of
Phi
Gamma
Delta.
In
celebration
of
this
milestone,
we
hope
that
all
graduate
brothers
can
return
to
the
end
of
slant
for
the
55th
annual
Big
Pig
Dinner
on
April
21,
2012.
The
festivities
will
begin
on
Thursday,
April
19
and
conclude on April 22.
Activities
include
a
number
of
presentations
and
fun
that
brothers
of
all
ages
can
enjoy.
This
is
your
chance
to
return
to
beautiful
Oxford
this
spring
to
experience
the
fun
and
brotherhood
that
we
all
know
and
love.
The
Pig
Dinner
will
be
held
on
the
night
of
Saturday,
April
21,
at 6pm
at the Shriver
Center.
In
2007,
over
500
graduate
brothers
attended
this
great
event,
a
number
that
stands
as
the
record
for
our
International
Fraternity.
We
plan
on
beating
that
mark
this
year.
We
hope
that
through
a
successful
Pig
Dinner
we
not
only
will
generate
donations
towards
the
betterment
of
the
chapter,
but
also
spark
stronger
relationships
through
networking
between
both
grads
and
undergraduate
brothers.
We
encourage
all
grads
to
visit the official
website
of
the
Mu
Upsilon
FIJI
Brotherhood,
130ehigh.org,
where
all
necessary
information
can
be
located
including
hotel
information
(BOOK
BEFORE
ITS
TOO
LATE!).
We
also
encourage
grads
to
get
in
contact
with
their
classmates
via
LinkedIn
and
join
the
group
“Mu
Upsilon
of
Phi
Gamma
Delta”.
Come
join
your
brothers
for
what
promises
to
be
a
memorable
weekend!
