ELEVENTH AWJAL NORRIS DINNER
Rho Alpiia's eleventh annual Norris Dinner was truly a delight for all who
attended. The Marriott ballroom was beautifully prepared and the dinner was
delicious. The ceremony was highlighted by the humor and wisdom of our keynote
speaker, Archon President Lewis Costello.
Scholarship awards went to ."junior Jeff Waldon and sophomore Dana Hesse. The
Undergraduate of the Year Award went to Paul Zawistowski. The Graduate of the
Year Award went to Michael Rooney. Congratulations "to all the fine people who
received awards.
Ihe ceremony was followed by a night of socializing and dancing in the friendV
atmosphere of true brotherhood. Thanks to Chris Rehm who offered his services as
D. J. for "the evening. Thanks once again to Lewis Costello, Jon Parker and all
who helped make the eleventh annual Norris Dinner a success.

news
As another academic year draws to a close, we can look back and note
our major accomplishments„ In 1982-83, we have initiated 11 new brothers.
All of the undergraduate brothers join in thanking Field Secretary Buddy Cot4
in helping our rush program to evolve into the consistent and effective pro
gram that it is.
Several house improvements were completed this year to make the house
more attractive and functional, A furnace/storage roon and an extra room were
added on in the basement.
Both bathrooms were retiled, painted, and caulked,
and a shower door was installed in the upstairs bathroom. Also on the second
floor, the entire hall was repainted, and outside, there were many lawn and
driveway improvements. Much credit goes to graduate brother Mike Rooney who
directed, performed, and financed a large portion of the work,
Rho Alpha's little sister program has been rejuvenated with the add
ition of nine new little sisters. At present, we have 12 active little sis
ters, Under the guidance of the chapter, they have reorganized themselves
so that they may be more effective in helping the chapter. To help encourage
their spirit and unity, they have made autograph books in which they collect
signatures, personal information, and words of wisdom from the brothers.
Congratulations to Valerie Garrow, Karer
Teri Pruss, and Karen Lane,
who were sponsored this quarter.
Overall, the chapter has had a \
tive and progressive year.
We are looking forward to another year or contuiueu growth and improvement.
Graduate interest ind involvement has been improving, also. The undergrad
uate brothers of Rho Alpha very much appreciate all of the graduate help and
advice and hope that it wil l continue. Final ly, congratulations go to Mike
Appenzeller and Paul Zawistowski (
