Graduates Rally to the Call of the Chapter
The Pi Sigma Association extends sincere "Thanks!" to all the Graduate Brothers who
have taken it upon themselves to help preserve the Pi Sigma Chapter of Phi Gamma
Delta Fraternity at the University of Pittsburgh! During 1990 the Association received
just over $600.00 in Graduate contributions. In 1991 the Assiciation received just over
$2700.00 in Graduate contributions. So far in 1992, the Association has received over
$4300.00 in cash contributions with an additional cash pledge of over $5700.00 from
Graduates who have realized that Phi Gamma Delta is not for college days alone!
The Pi Sigma Association has been actively striving to keep our Chapter alive and well at
PITT. With the 75th Diamond Pig Dinner behind us, we can look back at our achieve
ments and look forward to our future. From the experience of our celebration, it is
evident that Pi Sigma Brothers are truly concerned about our Chapter. The underlining
statement of Graduates is that we need to actively keep in contact with each other.
While this lays the foundation of our Graduate association, we need to ask each other,
"What can we do keep 4725 Wallingford going?!" The Pi Sigma Association is always an
open ear to your suggestions and recommendations. There is far more knowledge and
experience among the 1000+ Graduates than the Pi Sigma Assiociation has to offer. We
are not AT&T, IBM, or the Department of Defense... we're just a group of young guys
trying to keep good oT Delta as an active Chapter. These young guys want to do right by
Pi Sigma, and we thank you active Graduate Brothers for doing your share. Thanks for
the rally, and keep it going! You make the Pi Sigma Association mighty proud!
Emergency Repairs
on 4725 Wallingford
On February I5th, the day of the 75th
Diamond Pig Dinner, the Chapter House
sustained a fire between rooms 1 and 2.
The blaze was started by clothing too close
to a light bulb. The undergraduates
reacted quickly, extinguishing the fire be
fore it spread beyond destroying the
closet. The undergraduates rebuilt the
burned closet, making it nicer than most of
the Chapter House rooms.

Dear Arby,
Can it really be almost thirty-five years since we shared the delights of 4725 Wallingford
Street ... "mystery meat", "fat roll", "spam with raisin sauce", food fights, circulating ice
water in the plastic tablecloth around the dining room table, tieing our favorite "knave",
Arby, to the tree in the front yard, rubbing limburger cheese on the electric grates in the
fireplaces. Wigs blowing flour through the keyholes with a vacuum cleaner, wearing musty
purple hooded robes, etc., etc. In some ways, it seems to me like only yesterday.

Like me, I am sure you are constantly receiving requests for financial support from maiiy
groups and organizations and, in these difficult economic times, everyone has to

were young. If you feel you benefited from this experience, any contribution you are
