Dear Brothers:
As you receive your winter edition of the "Hoosier Fiji" I hope that
you recognize that Zeta chapter is continuing the tradition ofexcellence that
we all have been a part of at Beechwood. Once again, the publishing
assistance comes from G&F Publishing in Columbia, MO. Special thanks
goes to Tom,a Fiji graduate from the University of Missouri, and to Cathy
for their help in publishing this edition.
We would like to thank the graduates for sending in their graduate
news forms, but to make the next edition full of more graduate news we need
more forms. Please take the time to complete the enclosed information sheet
entitled "Who's doing What?" With this information we feel we can better
inform you of the whereabouts and happenings of your pledge brothers.

Treasurer Report '91-'92
Zeta's Moving Back to the Black
Our Cabinet felt it might be interesting for our graduates to compare our present'91-'92budgetto the budget
of 1957-58. Things have changed quite a bit over the last thirty-four years. Clearly the most dramatic change during
this time has been the rise in rent from 17% of the budget to 42% today. Interest payments on the renovation have
taken over a large portion of our budget. While the ambitions were once to continue a string of years in the black,
we and the present House Corporation have worked hard to put Zeta in the black for the first time in a few years.
The undergraduates would like to thank those graduates who have sent in dues. Your help is deeply appreciated!
Also, we would like to express our gratitude to Jack "Poohie" Deinlein,'82 whose long hours of service as House
Corporation Treasurer have put Zeta back on a good financial footing.

Graduate Literary Corner:
Woody Wade,'78 has been hard at work writing and publishing a
book entitled "P.S. Mv Bush Pig's Name is Boris". "This book
consists 100% ofboreass letters which I sent to various institutions
over the last couple ofyears along with the bonafide repliesI got in
return. For example,!wrote the people who administer the GMAT
exams and asked if!would be allowed to bring my horse with me to
the testing room. I asked Procter and Gamble ifthey made a diaper
for incontinent oldfolks called "Grampers". I wrote to the Purdue
School ofAgriculture complaining that my hands andfeetfeltdry and
discolored, and wondered ifI might somehow have come down with
a case ofcorn blight. I enquired whether the makers ofOil of Clay
have a specialformula for dogs. I wrote to Ted Kennedy to see
whether he would be interested in making a speech to the World
Association of Mathematicians (WAM!) on the subject of 'How
Avogadro's Number has Helped Me in My Career.' And so on.
Obviouslyfrom this meagersampling you can draw two conclusions:
first, this book will never win the Nobel Prize for Literature, and
second, my years at Beechwood with the ever finer, ever subtler
boreassing skills acquired there, stood me in good stead in my
burgeoning literary career. Infact, ifI were not a Zeta Fiji,I could
never have put together anything remotely like "P.S. My Bush Pig's
