Brotherhood, Communtty, Scholarship
By Adam J. lieb '94, Chapter President
The days have been full and busy around Theta

George Stemad '48 is always a welcome face
around Theta Deuteron. While in town, George
came to 35 Williams Drive for dinner and gave
some very inspirational words to a group of

with events like these, we are confident that
Theta Deuteron will maintain the upper hand at
recruitment and continue to pledge aboveaverage size classes of outstanding young men.

Habitat for Humanity is an oiganization that builds homes for disadvantaged
families. The charity gained its countty-wide recognition by being the favorite
charity of former President Jimrry Carter. On the morning ofSaturdcy,
October 2. four undergraduate brothers arrived at the Habitat for Humanity
building site in Delaware to help with the construction of a new home. The
morning crew consisted of brothers Pete Minogue "95, Damien Thank"

Broihers Organize Fall Concert to Benefit
Touchstone Project
OH'Vf^O
By Pete "Slappy" Minogue '95
Undergraduate brothers hosted a concert on September 25, to benefit the
Touchstone Project, an organization that aids troubled local teens.
The $3 ticket for the alcohol-finee event included a cookout at the
Wilkinson Lodge and a chance to see the Cleveland area band. The Janglers.
The band performed for the more than 200 students, and although the
weather was not cooperative, the crowd enjcyed themselves. Chapter
President Adam Deb '94 was pleased: Tt was good to see that even with the
bad weather, we got a good crowd and a chance to help out the community."
In order to cut down on the cost of hosting such an event, the brothers
did their own installation of temporary fencing, performed security duties, and

able to raise $300 for the charity.
William R. Jackson Sr. '29
Tom Doherty "94 was also excited: "EX^ryone worked hard to pull this off
and we were rewarded by a great time in an alcohol-fiee environment."
The brothers are looking forward to the 1994 fall concert, and plans for a
possible spring concert are being considered.
