This years theme is "A Time in Rhyme. " The brothers here are lookingforward to a great weekend as wc are alrearh' starting Trike practice with six riders right now, and plans are m the process for the rest of the weekend. House work session July 17th saw the house take on a new look with the installation of the brick-walk-way in front of the house. We would like to thank all the graduate brothers, undergraduate brothers, and pledges ttiat helped to make this ptissible. Before school even started we had rushees coming down and hanging out with us at the house. So far we have given out eighteenbids and twelvehave accepted. Pledging is set for September 24th and we welcome any brother to come and join us for the fun and good times that are always abundant m Fijiland. Beta Alpha Initiated Initiation was held on August 26 for the Beta Alplia pledge class. The tliree brotliers initiated were: Kemietli "Bo" Stout ('%), Wm. Eric Louk ('96), and Jason Callaway ('95). We hope you will come and welcomethem into tlie brotlierhood of lota Sigma and Plii Ganuna Delta. Grades Hiis past semester the chapter went from 14th in grades to 5tli in grades witli an impressive 2.65/4.0, above the all men's average. This comes at a good time witli the new fraternity law tliat eacii chaptei' lias to be above the all mrai's or will be placed on probation with the Fraternity. Fiji Academy Academy was held this year at the University of Kentucky m Lexington. This was a very invigorating exiierience for all tlie brothers that attended tliis year. Just like ttie last State Day, tliis year at Academy brought along a new experience for us. We came home witli the Jolu) Templetoi) McCarty Prtificiency Award. Hiis is the first time in the history ofthe award tliat we liave received it. .Along witli P.L. Joe Weist (Hose-Hulnum '87), the following brotliers attended; IVhke "Blade " Rfiisor ('95), Kirby Bilsland ('95), Kevin Fleelwood ('95), and Keith Pittman ('95). We enjoyed ourselves immensely and are looking forward to the 146th Ekklessia in Kansas City, Missouri.
